The Southern Regional Council of the Order of Physicians (OM) opened a disciplinary process to the doctor who gave him instructions on how to evade the tests for covid-19, the JN found. The professional in question is the founder of the “Doctors for Truth” movement.

OM official source confirmed that “there is a disciplinary process open to doctor” María Margarida Oliveira, of the “Doctors for Truth”, raised this Tuesday. The same source highlighted the Order’s commitment to “quickly” resolve this type of process.

Margarida Oliveira, an anesthesiologist, will have used the Telegram app to give advice on how to falsify test results for covid-19, the Observer reported Monday. The doctor gave advice on how a person positive for covid-19 could test negative.

The target professional will have to respond to the Southern Regional Disciplinary Council, once notified, they will have 20 days to respond.

Two more processes in analysis

As JN learned, before this process two other cases had already been filed against the “Doctors for Truth” movement in the Southern Regional Disciplinary Council. In total, seven professionals are involved who did not respond to the call to speak within the legal period of 20 days, extending another eight in the meantime.

The “Doctors for the Truth” question the effectiveness of the measures to combat the pandemic, that is, the use of masks and have an abundant presence on social networks.
