Sputnik V vaccine guarantees 95% effectiveness

The Research Center reported that the results were obtained from volunteers, 42 days after the injection of the first dose. The result obtained is the same as that of the vaccine from the North American pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Remember that in a first advertisement the percentage of effectiveness was 92%. Russia's vaccine is based on freeze-drying technology, which will significantly facilitate its transportation to international markets, including hard-to-reach regions and others with a tropical climate.

The price, which will be less than 10 dollars a dose (about eight euros), is twice that of the vaccines that use mRMA, that is, the North American Moderna and Pfizer.

Currently, about 40 thousand volunteers participate in phase three, more than half received the first dose and the rest the first and second. The first batch of Sputnik V for the foreign market will reach customers in January 2021 based on agreements already signed with foreign partners.

Russia was the first country to register a COVID-19 vaccine for public use in August.
