“I knew we were going to find him.” These are the words of a father after hugging his seven-year-old son, 52 days after the boy was kidnapped by a pedophile.
“We always believed that we would find him, he was very happy to see his mother, he hugged her and kissed her,” the father tells local television. REN TV. “It is an explosion of emotions and relief,” he adds.
The images of the reunion between the family show the emotion of good news that did not seem to come.
The seven-year-old boy was abducted and sexually abused by 26-year-old Dmitry Kopylov while walking from his home in Russia. Hope of finding him faded as days went by, but a clue provided by Interpol from an obscure website helped find the youngest.
That clue indicated that the boy was with the kidnapper in a place about 22 kilometers from his home in the town of Gorki, from where he had disappeared in September.
A mega-operation was mounted and the Russian authorities were able to rescue the boy, who is receiving psychological help, and arrest the kidnapper.
