Benfica confirms Darwin positive and reveals another player infected with Covid-19 – Benfica

Benfica confirmed this Thursday that Darwin Núñez is infected with Covid-19, after having been with the Uruguayan team during the last days. The 21-year-old forward was one of several players from that team who tested positive for the new coronavirus, something that happened like Luis Suárez, Alexis Rolín, Rodrigo Muñoz or Diego Rossi, in addition to other officials of the Uruguayan federation. Furthermore, in the revealed clinical report, the eagles confirm that Weigl also tested positive for the new coronavirus.

In addition to the duo, the clinical report also shows the clinical status of four other players on the team. Namely:

André Almeida: rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and the internal lateral ligament of the right knee;
