Regarding the measures applied to the areas of greatest risk, The Government decided to “put an end to the errors”, determining that, during the weekend, the opening of the business will be from 8 am and the closing at 1 pm, except for pharmacies, clinics and offices, establishments that sell food up to 200 meters squares with door to the street and gasoline pumps, among other cases.

“In the case of establishments authorized to operate 24 hours a day, they are authorized to reopen after 8:00 am,” determined the Government, noting that the suspension of activities in commercial establishments in high-risk municipalities “is a special rule and prevails over the other provisions of this regime that provide otherwise ”.

During the weekend, starting at 1 in the afternoon, the catering in these municipalities can only work for home delivery, said António Costa, announcing 20% ​​support for the loss of income from restaurants on the weekends. week when they have to close for the average of the previous 44 weekends (January to October 2020).

Mandatory telework

In addition to the curfew, municipalities with a high risk of transmission of covid-19 have the duty to stay at home, mandatory telework, the closure of commercial establishments until 10 p.m. and restaurants until 10:30 a.m. night, and a ban. events and celebrations with more than five people, unless they belong to the same household.

According to the decree that regulates the application of the state of emergency, effective from November 9 to November 23, and which is applicable throughout the national territory, in the municipalities with the highest risk identified in the declaration of the situation of calamity, the ban applies. on public roads, a measure that provides for a set of 13 exceptions for authorized trips.

Exceptions include the performance of professional functions such as health professionals and civil protection agents, obtaining medical care, trips to food and hygiene establishments, assistance to vulnerable people, exercise of freedom of the press and short walking tours. .
