Chef Ljubomir Stanisic considers the extraordinary government support for the restaurant industry insufficient. It even says it creates debt.

“It’s throwing dust in your eyes,” he said, recalling the predictions of 43% of catering companies and the like to go out of business in the third quarter of the year.

The chef exemplified that only he has 980 thousand euros of loss, between March and November.

“We have 230 deputies in the Assembly, how many of them lost their jobs?” He said.

Ljubomir Stanisic also highlighted that the restaurants comply with the standards of the health authorities, such as disinfection and fever measurement.

In the Night Edition of SIC Notícias, he asked for urgent support, such as the TSU exemption until June 30, 2021 and the payment of social security for 100% of the hours not worked.

At Friday’s protest in Porto, Ljubomir Stanisic, who was present to “set an example as a citizen,” guaranteed that there was only discussion between protesters and authorities.

“It was a small accident. There was no hit,” he said.

Ljubomir Stanisic also said that the restaurant sector does not want to go “against the government”.

“We want to order the basics, peacefully, without weapons, with peace,” added the chef of SIC Notícias.
