Currently, ACES Médio Tejo has 685 people under active surveillance (+66). Ourém has 160 citizens in this condition, followed by Tomar (122), Abrantes (105), Entroncamento (80), Torres Novas (67), Alcanena (37), Sardoal and Mação (28), Vila Nova da Barquinha (24) , Constância (20) and Ferreira do Zêzere (14).

ACES PIS with 28 active cases in Sertã and 6 in Vila de Rei

At ACES in Pinhal Interior Sul (PIS), Sertã today has a cumulative total of 73 infected people (+4), of which 45 have already recovered from the disease, according to ACES PIS. Sertã had a cumulative total of 74 confirmed cases, of which 28 were active cases and 111 were under active surveillance.

ACES Médio Tejo covers the territorial area of ​​11 municipalities with approximately 235 thousand users, and covers the health units of Abrantes, Alcanena, Constância, Entroncamento, Ferreira do Zêzere, Mação, Ourém, Sardoal, Tomar, Torres Novas and Vila nova da Barquinha , in a territorial area of ​​2,706.10 square kilometers.

Gavião, in turn, has a cumulative total of 18 covid cases, with 10 people now recovered from the disease. There are eight active cases in the county.

Lezíria region with 93 cases, 132 recovered and 2 deaths in 24 hours

Lezíria do Tejo presents 93 new cases in the last 24 hours and a cumulative total of 2733 patients, of which 1019 cases in the municipality of Santarém, according to data from the Regional Network. Today, Chamusca has a total of 92 confirmed cases (+4), including four deaths, and Golegã records 46 infections (+1). The Lezíria region has 71 deaths (+2), 29 of which in Santarém, and 1,883 people recovered from the disease (+132).

In the Central region there were 626 more cases of infection, with 19,134 and 403 deaths now. In Alentejo, 114 new cases of covid-19 were registered, with a total of 3,855 and 74 deaths. The Algarve region today reported 86 more cases of infection, totaling 3,801 cases and 32 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. In the Autonomous Region of the Azores, 19 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours, adding 561 detected infections and 15 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. Madeira registered 14 cases in the last 24 hours, representing 614 infections and two deaths.

Confirmed cases are distributed in all age groups, with the highest number of infections between 20 and 59 years. The new coronavirus has already infected at least 92,678 men and 111,986 women in Portugal, according to reported cases. Of the total deaths, 1,662 were men and 1,588 women. The highest number of deaths is still concentrated in people over 80 years of age.
