In the 11 counties of the region, Ourém is the municipality with the highest number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 483 (+83) confirmed infections, followed by Entroncamento, with 292 (+14), Tomar, with 275 (+ 8), Torres Novas, with 218 (+3), Abrantes, with 206 (+2), Alcanena, with 101, Mação, with 49, Vila Nova da Barquinha, with 28 (+2), Constância, with 28 (+ 4), Ferreira do Zêzere, with 19 (+5), and Sardoal, with 17 (+1) accumulated cases since the start of the pandemic.

Currently, ACES Médio Tejo has 593 people under active surveillance (-49). Ourém has 141 citizens in this condition, followed by Tomar (113), Abrantes (92), Entroncamento (72), Torres Novas (58), Alcanena (43), Sardoal (22), Vila Nova da Barquinha (18), Constância (14) and Ferreira do Zêzere (10) and Mação (9).

This ACES registers a cumulative total of 1716 infected (+122), 739 recovered (+34), 593 people under active surveillance (-49) and 26 deaths (three deaths confirmed today in Abrantes but with complete data not yet updated by the ACES).

Gavião, in turn, has a cumulative total of 16 covid cases, with 10 people now recovered from the disease. There are six active cases in the county.

Lezíria region with 35 more cases, 49 recovered and one death in 24 hours

Lezíria do Tejo presents 35 new cases in the last 24 hours and a cumulative total of 2,597 patients, of which 985 cases in the municipality of Santarém (+13), according to data from the Regional Network. Today, Chamusca has a total of 87 confirmed cases (+3), including four deaths, and Golegã records 45 infections. The Lezíria region has 64 deaths (+1), 26 of which in Santarém, and 1,712 people recovered from the disease (+49).

Portugal with 82 more deaths, new daily record

The North region continues to be the one that registers the most new cases: 2,845 in the last 24 hours, with a total of 94,057, and has added 1,414 deaths since the start of the pandemic. In the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley, more than 1,185 new cases of infection were reported, which now represent 71,936 cases and 1,181 deaths. In the Central region there were 743 more cases of infection, representing a total of 17,759 cases and 389 deaths. In Alentejo, 44 ​​new infections were registered, for a total of 3,685 cases and 71 deaths. The Algarve region today reported 80 more cases of infection, now totaling 3,638 cases and 31 deaths. In the Autonomous Region of the Azores, 21 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours, totaling 513 detected infections and 15 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Madeira registered 17 more cases in the last 24 hours, representing 584 infections and two deaths.

The new coronavirus has already infected at least 105,147 women and 87,025 men in Portugal, according to reported cases. Of the total deaths, 1,590 were men and 1,513 women, almost all over 80 years of age.
