Algarve has 80 new infected

There are 80 new cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve, according to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) of this Wednesday, November 11, which has just been published.

Thus, in the region there are, in accumulated figures since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,638 confirmed infections. In Alentejo, the DGS today reports 44 new infections (total of 3685) and two more deaths (total of 71).

Across the country, there were 4,935 additional cases of Covid-19 today. In cumulative terms, since the start of the pandemic, 192,172 people have already been infected with the new coronavirus in Portugal.

By region, the north of the country continues to be the place where most of the new cases are concentrated, with 2,845 more than yesterday’s DGS bulletin (94,057 accumulated).

Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (71,936, plus 1185), the Center (17,759, plus 743), Alentejo (3685, plus 44), the Algarve (3638, plus 80), Madeira (584, plus 17) follow and the Azores ( 513, plus 21).

In terms of deaths, Portugal broke a record today, with 82 more, bringing the total to 3103. In addition to the two deaths in Alentejo, there are 44 lamentations in the North, 19 in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 17 in the Center.

But there is also good news: from yesterday to today, 3,475 more people have managed to recover, making a total of 110,353. Active cases, however, rose again, with 1,378 more (a total of 78,716).

In hospitals, the number of hospitalized patients has increased, to 43 more (2,785, in total). Of these, there are 391 in intensive care (plus 9).

This Monday, there are 89,107 contacts under surveillance, minus 956.
