The municipality of Viseu has had more than one hundred new cases of Covid-19 since last Wednesday (November 4). According to the latest data from Civil Protection, the district capital has 740 people infected since the pandemic began in March.

Between November 2 and 9, the district had another 578 infected with the new coronavirus, resulting in a total of 3,272 cases.

Cinfães, one of the counties most affected by Covid-19 in the region, had 96 more cases, according to the Civil Protection district. The town now has a cumulative total of 597 infections.

They are followed by Mangualde (46 more cases), Castro Daire (40 more) and São Pedro do Sul (40 more). Tondela had 33 more people infected during the last week, according to Civil Protection data.

Nelas had 32 more patients with Covid-19, followed by Lamego, with 30 more cases.

According to the Civil Protection district, Oliveira de Frades accumulated 29 more infections, while Resende had 26 new patients.

They are followed by Moimenta da Beira (13 more), Penalva do Castelo (11 more), Mortágua (9 more), Tarouca (9 more), Santa Comba Dão (9 more), Sátão (8 more) and Vila Nova de Paiva (7 more).

They are followed by Sernancelhe (6 more), São João da Pesqueira (6 more), Tabuaço (5 more) and Carregal do Sal (5 more).

Penedono and Vouzela registered only two new cases during the past week. Armamar has not had any new infected. Aguiar da Beira has a record of 36 accumulated cases.

Only in the area covered by the Dão Lafões Health Center Group, 2,050 cases of infection were registered. In ACES Douro Sul, which groups together several municipalities in the north of the Viseu region, there are 475 cases.

In the Viseu region, there are 71 deaths from Covid-19 and 1,405 recovered.
