At ACES Médio Tejo, Ourém has 90 people under active surveillance, followed by Abrantes and Torres Novas (68), Tomar (65), Alcanena (58), Entroncamento (48), Sardoal (46), Vila Nova da Barquinha (24) , Constância (19), Mação (14) and Ferreira do Zêzere (6).

In total, the new coronavirus has already affected at least 71,223 men and 85,707 women in Portugal, according to declared cases. Of the total deaths, 1,376 were men and 1,318 women. The highest number of deaths is still concentrated in people over 80 years of age.

According to the General Directorate of Health, data by municipality will be updated this week, after the reformulation of indicators related to new cases of covid-19.

The application of the control measures is based on the accumulated incidence during 14 days, which corresponds to the number of new cases in the last 14 days per 100 thousand inhabitants.

“It is intended that this be the main metric used in the risk assessment of each municipality so that citizens can follow the evolution of the pandemic in the municipalities,” explains the DGS in a footnote to the bulletin.

The partial confinement came into force today in 121 municipalities in mainland Portugal where there is a “high risk of transmission of covid-19”, with the duty to stay at home, except for authorized trips, such as shopping, work, education and physical activity. .

In addition to the specific measures for these municipalities, the resolution of the Council of Ministers published in the Diário da República prolongs the declaration of catastrophic situation throughout the continental national territory until 11:59 p.m. on November 19.
