The Order of Doctors is against the mandatory installation of the StayAway Covid application because there is no scientific evidence that its use contributes to reducing the incidence of Covid-19.
“The StayAway Covid app is only useful in complementarity with other pandemic control measures and is of little interest in isolation. There is no solid scientific evidence that its use can significantly contribute to reducing the incidence of covid-19 ”, justifies the Order of Doctors in a statement.
And he adds that “the mandatory nature of its installation, use and respective inspection, calls into question fundamental ethical questions that underlie the experience of a democratic state, by not preserving the confidentiality and protection of personal data, and by interfering with fundamental freedoms and individual rights, which we all want to protect ”.
