The Lisbon Metropolitan PSP Command announced today that it had seized a ton of hashish and another 10 kilos of heroin during a multi-vehicle approach on Friday, on the A2 motorway.

“This ‘Nomad Process’ has been going on for three years and focuses on the criminal activity of this group with incidence in Lisbon, but with links with other cities and also with the islands,” said Commander João Prisciliano, during the presentation of the operation.

“We seized a ton of hashish and, in the course of the investigation of the last three years, another ten kilograms of heroin and another 50 of hashish, in an operation that began three years ago and that, in the form of a pyramid investigation, was increasing until we reached the main distributor, who led us to this apprehension ”, said the person in charge.

The figure now released is much higher than the number of doses that had been presented this afternoon in the initial PSP statement, which pointed to “the largest seizure of the last decade, with 158,200 doses of cocaine.”
