Despite the tone of the accusations, the Socialist deputy assured that “it is evident that this does not mean that the negotiations will fall into an impasse.” And he said that the PS “is always available to negotiate” as long as there is “common sense and responsibility on both sides.”
“There are no conditions to create a political crisis due to an economic and social crisis,” he said.
In the interview with El Observador, Duarte Cordeiro wanted to say that there is room to negotiate with the Block, but at the same time he warned that the Budget “can be mathematically approved without the Left Bloc.” In addition, he made it clear that the government sees no reason for the blockers to vote against.
