André ‘Pirata’, the attacker who abandoned his girlfriend shot by the PSP outside the São João da Madeira hospital, was arrested this Friday behind a chapel in Braga.
It was a GNR soldier, off duty, who spotted ‘Pirate’ hiding behind the chapel and who alerted the authorities.
GNR installed a siege in the city of Adaúfe to catch the aggressor. According to the CM, the authorities recognized the truck where they were followed by two suspects of theft inside vehicles.
The GNR began the pursuit of the two suspects, in the town of Adaúfe, and ended up ramming the vehicle where they were being followed, the ‘pirate’ having managed to escape on foot. Apparently André ‘Pirata’ is armed.
Dozens of Republican National Guard agents were at the scene. The district of Braga was on alert with all patrols called to stop the man who was fleeing.
Pirate ‘is subject to robbery and car theft. He recently released a video on a social network where he filmed singing with a bottle of champagne in hand in the largest suite of a luxury motel in Greater Porto, where the daily rate can reach 900 euros.
