Most new cases are in the north of the country, with 1,001 diagnoses in the last 24 hours, more than 48% of the total, according to the General Directorate of Health (DGS). To these 802 new cases are added in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 172 in the center, 47 in Alentejo and 42 in the Algarve.
The bulletin also points to 5 new cases in the Azores and 3 in Madeira. In total, there have been 91,193 confirmed cases, nationally, so far, with the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley leading the way, with 44,788 cases, and then in the north, with 34,661 confirmed infections.
