Three new positive cases and a recovery in the Azores in the last 24 hours

One of the diagnosed cases corresponds to a 49-year-old woman, non-resident in the Region, from an air connection with the Portuguese peninsula, who underwent a SARS-CoV-2 screening test before boarding with a negative result and whose test was performed after the sixth day produced a positive result.

The other two cases refer to a 34-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, residents of the Region, who live together, also from an air connection with the Portuguese peninsula, whose detection test carried out on Arrival showed a positive result.

A 23-year-old male patient is recovering, bringing the number of recovered cases in the Region to 212.

So far, 332 cases of infection by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been detected in the Region, with 61 active positive cases currently occurring, of which 33 on the island of São Miguel, 12 on the island of Terceira, three on the island of Graciosa, four on the island of Pico, five on the island of Faial, one on the island of São Jorge, two on the island of Santa María and one on the island of Flores.
