On Thursday, the Government had already expressed its willingness to review the necessary measures to monitor the evolution of the covid-19 pandemic, referring to next week the decision on the rules that will be applied in the next fortnight.
In the information session of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of State and Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, was asked about the measures to be taken in the context of combating the covid-19 pandemic.
“For the week, it is time to review the set of rules that we apply and that we review every fortnight and the numbers that we are learning at this time are the numbers that we had predicted until they happened a few days ago,” the minister began to respond.
It is in this framework of evaluating the evolution of the pandemic in recent weeks that, according to Mariana Vieira da Silva, next week the Government will make the necessary decisions, explaining that at this time it cannot anticipate them since it is necessary to make evaluations . “The availability of review of the measures is total,” he guaranteed.
Even so, the minister reiterated that they will always try to avoid “a scenario of total and generalized confinement”, since the country will hardly be able to live with this situation again.
