“The Council of Ministers is meeting and I anticipate that it will continue to meet for some time to approve the State Budget that will be delivered to the Assembly of the Republic next Monday,” Mariana Vieira da Silva responded to journalists.

“The negotiation around the State Budget is always an exercise of rapprochement between the parties within a framework of availability and responsibility in approving the Budget. “Our conviction is that we are capable of making a path of rapprochement between the different positions, which is never a path in which a position is completely guaranteed, it is a path of approach, that is a negotiation,” he reiterated.
Approval of the state budget?
Regarding the certainty that OE2021 will be approved during the day by the Council of Ministers, the governor said that she simply did not foresee another calendar than is known and she only committed to one date: “the truth is that next Monday the Budget of the State will be delivered to the Assembly of the Republic “.
“Our purpose is to approve the budget under the conditions that we consider are those that meet the challenge that the country has and that in particular has those who seek to respond to the crisis with policies different from what happened in the past,” he said.
Regarding the measures that may be contained in the OE2021 government proposal, Mariana Vieira da Silva clarified that she will not speak on this issue.
“We are not going to comment on measures included or not in the State Budget. The task of approving the EO is a complex job, it takes the time it takes to get a budget that responds to the country’s difficulties in a difficult context that the country and the world live, always trying to have a budget that responds to the crisis and does not aggravate it, ”he emphasized.
The main resolutions of the Council of Ministers this Thursday:
