Benfica announced the hiring of Todibo on loan from Barcelona, timely confirming the news advanced by Maisfutebol.
In a note published on the official website, the Club de la Luz informs that the transfer of the defender is valid until 2021, without specifying if there is a purchase option. Barça reveals that the eagles pay two million euros for the loan and have the option to buy 20 million euros. The note issued by the Spanish club says that Todibo’s contract will run until 2022, but a Benfica source confirmed to the More soccer that it was a blaugrana mistake.
If, at the end of next season, the incarnated SAD advances to hiring, these two million will be deducted from the 20 million initially hired.
The French U-20 international is expected this Tuesday in Lisbon to comply with the necessary procedures to proceed with the conclusion of the agreement.
Todibo, 20, completed his training in Toulouse and was recruited by Barcelona in January 2019. After five games in the Blaugrana first team, the young player surrendered to Schalke 04.
