Advanced who returns and is willing to lower the salary
Slimani was offered to Sporting at no cost and, depending on the forward’s will, a return to Alvalade could occur, Record learned.
Materializing will be a transfer at zero cost. Leicester is ready to release the player, who has a contract valid for another season. There are other clubs interested but Slimani’s desire is only one: to return to Sporting. Talks are currently underway between Sporting, Leicester and representatives of the forward. Since other clubs are interested, the lions will have to decide quickly.
Slimani earns 2.8 million euros tax-free per season but is willing to lower that amount considerably to put on the green and white shirt again, a long-time wish as announced by Record on May 22.
