THE BALL – Mist in Olympiakos (Greece)

Olympiakos wants more Portuguese and Bruma and Tiago Silva are already in Greece.

The team led by Pedro Martins is classified for the group stage of the Champions League (with FC Porto, Manchester City and Marseille) and is interested in strengthening itself.

The PSV winger, 25, arrived in Athens in the last hours, already wearing a mask with the club’s symbol. The idea is to have the former Sporting player on loan for a year with a purchase option for an amount of around 7 million euros.

The fact that Rúben Semedo, his teammate in the Lions’ quarry, is an Olympiakos player (although he is still coveted by Benfica), should have helped close the deal.

After leaving Sporting, in 2013, Bruma went through the Turks from Galatasaray (10 million euros), the Spaniards from Real Sociedad (1.9 for one year on loan), the Germans from RB Leipzig (15) and the Dutch from PSV (12).

Tiago Silva also arrived with Bruma, who was in Nottingham Forest.

There is also the possibility of hiring Rúben Vinagre, which is a little behind schedule, but which must be completed today or tomorrow. The 21-year-old Wolverhampton left-back has been out of Portugal for five years and will now be able to play in a third country, having done so in France (Monaco from 2015 to 2017) and England (Wolverhampton since 2017).
