Abroad, investors remained equally pessimistic, shaken by the news that Donald Trump tested positive for COVID-19, with enough uncertainties about the outcome of the disease to send shivers down the stock markets. However, the president of the United States announced that he will only have mild symptoms, which left most of the European stock markets to recover but with marginal gains.

In Lisbon, BCP was the most prominent heavyweight. The bank took the lead in losses, sliding 2.38% to 7.79, even falling 3.51% during the session, a drop that earned it a new all-time low of 7.7 cents. The also strong CTT helped sentiment, presenting a decrease of 2.13% to 2.53 euros, followed by Semapa, which lost 1.85% to 7.44 euros.

Mota-Engil faced the counter cycle, which rose 2.65% to 1.08 euros. This company achieves a positive weekly balance during the first week of every five, then, in the total of the last month, it decreased 31.22%.
