Ten young people, between 15 and 25 years old, were arrested for the collective rape of a 14-year-old girl, the Spanish agency EFE reported this Friday.
The case occurred at dawn from Saturday to Sunday, in Xàtiva, in the Valencian Community, during a party that brought together a hundred young people.
The victim, who filed a complaint the same day, told the police that she was raped by several young people and that others looked at her without doing anything to prevent the attack, a total of about 20 people. The boy was approached in a group, subjected to touching and then forced to perform various sexual acts.
The Civil Guard does not rule out the possibility of carrying out more arrests, according to an investigation source EFE.
The victim, whose identity has been preserved, has received hospital treatment and is being psychologically monitored.
The authorities also determine if the child may have been drugged during the party.
Some of the suspects have already denied the allegations, claiming it was all just consensual sex.
A source from the Civil Guard also said that the investigation is well advanced and that it has already determined most of the facts.
