The Public Ministry (MP) accused three defendants of an alleged fraudulent plan for one of them to do the code test on behalf of another, in Braga, with the collaboration of the director of a Fafe driving school.

In a note published this Friday on his page, the Porto District Attorney General says that the defendants are accused of two crimes of document forgery and one crime of using someone else’s identity document.

According to the prosecution, one of the defendants was a candidate for a driving license that would allow him to drive heavy vehicles and, wanting to ensure that he passed the theoretical exam, he asked for help from another of the defendants, the director of a driving school based in Fafe, district of Braga, in exchange for compensation.

Also according to the prosecution, the defendants “devised a plan” that involved the accused manager of the driving school to find a third person to take the theoretical exam in place of the accused candidate.

The elect, the third defendant, was the administrative official of a driving school based in Vila do Conde, Porto district, who offered to take the theoretical driving test as if he were the candidate, assuming his identity, and to take the test in his place.

The administrative defendant appeared to be examined on August 7, 2018 at the Braga da Anieca Examination Center, “as if he were the accused candidate, carrying, to prove it, his citizenship card and a replacement guide for the driving license of the accused candidate with his photograph, thus obtained from the IMT, in the computer system, by the accused director ”.

He even started the exam, which he signed as if he were the accused candidate, ending, but the officials noticed the identity theft and called the police.
