An Italian boy, barely 10 years old, threw himself from the building in which he lived at 11, in the city of Naples, Italy.

The boy left a note to his parents before he died. “I’m sorry mom. I love you, but I’m afraid of the black man in the neighborhood,” he wrote, according to the newspaper SOL.

The same source says that the case is being investigated by the authorities, but everything indicates that it will be due to the Jonathan Galindo challenge, which arose in the United States and spread to Europe. The challenge is aimed at children and adolescents who use social networks and consists of a man dressed as Goofy, Jonathan Galindo, who sends a friend request on networks such as Facebook, Instagram or TikTok and, when the child accepts it, proposes a series of dangerous and extreme challenges.

To participate, children must reveal personal information, including address, school, parents’ names, among others.

According to SOL, the Italian boy’s parents noted that he had been worried lately, but did not seem to want to be hurt. After the child threw himself out of the building, the parents heard the noise and ran to see what was happening, facing the tragedy.
