OnePlus has an event scheduled for October 14. Among other products, the brand has promoted the OnePlus 8T, its new smartphone that will be presented at this event.
Now the CEO of the brand, Pete Lau, has revealed something that anyone who has bought a OnePlus 8 Pro (or who intends to buy) will appreciate. According to the executive, this year the one that the OnePlus 8T Pro wanted will not be launched.
OnePlus will now release only one Pro model per year
Through the Weibo social network, Pete Lau stated that “users who like Pro level products can continue to choose the OnePlus 8 Pro.” This will therefore remain the true cousin of the brand until next year.
This means that if you want the ultimate OnePlus, the OnePlus 8T shouldn’t be the way to go. This will come with very interesting features such as the 65W Warp Charge or the 120Hz screen. But it won’t have everything that this year’s Pro model has.
Still, don’t expect the OnePlus 8T to be the only novelty at this event. The executive assured that there will be surprises, and we should know a new cheap headset and possibly a smart watch.
