Jurgen Klopp praised the Portuguese forward, who made his Liverpool debut against Arsenal.
A night to remember afterwards for Diogo Jota: The Portuguese striker, signed by Liverpool from the Wolves, made his debut in the Reds jersey on Monday night in a 3-1 win over Arsenal.
Launched in the second half by Jurgen Klopp, Jota gave the best possible luck to a ball deflected from the area and, at the end of the match, after a warm hug between coach and player, the German went on to praise.
“I’m very happy with Diogo Jota. The boy upstairs,” he began referring to the Liverpool manager, continuing:
“It is so difficult to improve a team like ours … It was on my list for two or three years, now it is here, with us,” concluded Klopp, the main driver of the 43 million euro investment (the amount may still go up ) performed by the 23-year-old Portuguese international.
