We already knew in advance that the new Microsoft console would be faster in loads thanks to the SSD disk, but the concrete results began to be published today in the first practice of the Xbox Series X.
The Verge’s measurements show that load times can be radically different depending on the game. In Call of Duty: Warzone there is no big difference, there is only 5 seconds difference between Xbox Series X and Xbox One X.
However, in cases like Sea of Theaves, the difference is huge. Sea of Thieves has a load time of 1 minute and 21 seconds on Xbox One X, reduced to 20 seconds on Xbox Series X.
Red Dead Redemption benefits greatly from the SSD as well, with a load time of just 38 seconds on the Xbox Series X (on the previous console it is 2 minutes and 8 seconds). In Control the loads go from 58 seconds to 10 seconds.
Still on the SSD, the actual Xbox Series X user space was revealed to be 802GB.
