Paulo Bento, who was a PSD activist before joining the Alliance and worked with Santana Lopes at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisbon, took advantage of the closing of the congress to ask the “non-socialist” parties to become an alternative to the PS in future elections.

Regarding the presidential elections, the new leader of the Alliance sent a decision after the first meeting of the Senate, the highest body between congresses.
