Switzerland considers Portugal a high-risk country to travel

Anyone traveling from Portugal to Switzerland will have to complete ten days of isolation.

This Friday, Portugal became part of the list of high-risk destinations in Switzerland and, starting next week, travelers from Portugal to Switzerland must comply with a 10-day quarantine period.

The list of countries at high risk of pandemic published by Geneva also includes the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Brittany region in France, Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Iceland, the Netherlands, Oman, Nepal, Morocco, Ecuador, Jamaica. and Slovenia. San Marino and Kosovo, on the other hand, were removed from the list.

For Switzerland, a region is considered at risk when it exceeds 60 new COVID-19 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in a period of 14 days.

Those who do not respect the quarantine period may have to pay a fine of up to 10,000 Swiss francs, a value of around 9,300 euros.
