The product design phase now gives way to the beginning of the industrialization process of a device to operate in the short-haul market, with a maximum capacity of 19 passengers and a weight of 2.5 tons.

According to Miguel Braga, head of the Aeronautics and Defense area at CEiiA’s direction, the location of the factory will allow the involvement of more than 30 companies related to the sector in the project, which already work in the axis of the Alentejo cities of Ponte de Sor, Beja and Évora, being able to boost the business and create at least 1,200 jobs.

The project, with an initial investment of 20 million euros, will have two sources of funding, public and private, through community funds for the area of science, technology, research and development, and the consortium’s own funds.
