Following the release of WRC 9, another game that is generating strong expectations for fans of Rally games and the like is Dirt 5. For those who are hoping or desperate for the game, this is good news.

Codemasters posted a video showing a bit of the gameplay for Dirt 5 and running on Xbox Series S.

What it promises is what you can tell after watching the video that Codemasters recently made available showing Dirt 5 speeding through the dirt and mud of an Xbox Series S.

The video shows just one race done on a buggie (Path Finder event in Italy), on a track located in a marble mine (the terrain alternates between clay and rock), as you can see, it is pushing for new processing and transmission capacity data from Xbox Series S.

Dirt 5 already looks great on Xbox Series S

You don't see a hiccup or a freeze in the movie and the game seems to be going pretty well. The driving seems to be very fluid and at the graphic level there is a lot of quality, especially in the vehicle shown.

Although there are still no great conclusions to draw, it seems that the marriage between Dirt 5 and Next Generation consoles (in this case, the Xbox Series S), has everything to come.

However, I must confess that I was expecting a bit more exuberance, especially in the off-race setting. Given the characteristics of the console, I expected a bolder approach to the effects of dust, mud, trees, ...

DIRT 5 is scheduled for a November 6 release date for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, when Xbox Series X / S launches on the 10th of the same month, Dirt 5 will also be ready. The PlayStation 5 version will arrive later, followed by Google Stadia (mid-2021).
