A Portuguese Masonic lodge promoted, last Saturday, a gala dinner at a luxury hotel in the resource Penha Longa, in Sintra, according to Correio da Manhã, which adds that several masons refused to participate and criticized the organization for holding an event with so many people at a time of pandemic and risk of a second wave of infections.
The event was in charge of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Portugal (GLSP), one of the several Masonic lodges that exist in our country, headed by João Pestana Dias. About 200 people will have participated in the dinner held at the Ritz Carlton. It was a gala dinner, in “honor of the ladies”, and which also marked the second anniversary of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Portugal.
Each ticket costs 35 euros per person, with dress code: prom dresses. The Correio da Manhã adds that during the day the men were alone in Sintra, and only at night the women joined, who were entitled to a special night; after all, dinner was also in her honor.
The management of the hotel unit, however, contacted by the newspaper, guaranteed not to have knowledge of the organization and organization of the dinner.
