This morning, a cyclone passed through the Manuel de Castro e Brito Fair and Exhibition Park in Beja.
The weather crossed the Sousa Porto street and left a trail of destruction.

The main damages Rua Sousa Porto, Rua Isabel Covas Lima, Rua Julião Quintinha and also the Mário Beirão School, where in addition to falling trees, there was damage to the blinds and the roof. The children were safely evacuated and classes were suspended for the afternoon.
Despite the damage, no injuries were reported.
The Municipal Civil Protection and the Beja Volunteer Firefighters are carrying out cleaning works on the public road and cutting down trees, assisted by the different operational divisions of the Municipality and by teams from the Urban Parish Councils.
PSP carried out a survey of damaged vehicles as well as traffic cuts in the main arteries where the meteorological phenomenon occurred.
The work is expected to be carried out during the afternoon, involving some 29 agents from the fire brigades of Beja, Cuba, Ferreira do Alentejo and Serpa.
