In Portugal, in the last 24 hours, six more people died and 780 more cases of covid-19 were confirmed (a growth of 1.2% compared to the previous day). According to the epidemiological bulletin of the DGS this Friday (September 18), in total, since the pandemic began, there have been 67,176 infected people, 45,053 recovered (259 more) and 1,894 deaths in the country.

There are currently 20,229 active Portuguese patients under follow-up by the health authorities, 515 more than yesterday.

The region with the highest number of infected in the last 24 hours is again Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, which added 426 new infections (54.6% of the daily total), in addition to the six deaths registered the previous day. .

It is followed by the North (250 more cases), the Center (46 more), the Alentejo (36 more), the Algarve (20 more) and Madeira (two more).

There are ten more new cases this Friday than yesterday, when 770 more infections were reported. Which makes it necessary to go back to April 10 to find a day in which more new cases have been confirmed. At the time, it was 1516.
