Departures in the Government: Costa takes advantage of the appointment of CCDR to work in Secretariats of State

There are changes on the horizon of the Government. According to the news in “Public” this Tuesday, António Costa approved the departure of the Secretary of State for Fisheries José Apolinário for the presidency of CCDR Algarve, and will take advantage of a more extensive remodeling with regard to Secretaries of State.

Ana Pinho, Secretary of State for Housing since July 2017 and a close collaborator of Costa, leaves the executive. At the same time, Alberto Souto, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Infrastructure, will leave the Government to occupy a position in the recently created Banco de Fomento, after having already assumed positions as former mayor of Aveiro, non-executive administrator of Caixa Geral de Depósito and former vice president of Anacom – Autoridade Nacional das Comunicações. In the Government, in addition to being a deputy to the minister, Alberto Souto was in charge of Communications and was also responsible for ports, “Public” recalls.

The newspaper also found that Carlos Miguel, Secretary of State for Municipalities, will also leave the Government.
