A man assaulted his wife and nine-year-old daughter this Monday night, in Alameda Maria da Fonte, in S. Vítor, Braga. The suspect, in his 40s, was detained by the PSP and will be present this Tuesday before a judge for the application of coercive measures.
As O MINHO found, the suspect will be the same one who, in July, tried to run over several people with a car in that same urbanization.

The victims, the woman, 45 years old, and the youngest daughter, nine years old, were taken to the Braga Hospital, with abrasions.
Neighbors applauded the suspect’s arrest, while the suspect told authorities that he was innocent: “I didn’t do anything.”
According to what MINHO learned on the spot, the neighborhood has many complaints from the couple, which they say is problematic.
Also according to the testimonies of neighbors, the couple has a daughter over 18 years old, both of them will have been taken by Social Security and will be with a grandmother, going to her parents’ house every 15 days.
The alert was given at 10:10 p.m.
Three PSP patrol cars and two ambulances from the Sapadores de Braga Firefighters rushed to the scene.
