During the 15 minute interview on ‘Jornal das 8’, the channel’s new Director of Entertainment and Fiction made some surprising revelations.
In addition to the managerial position and the program in his own name, the presenter also becomes a shareholder of the company.. Cristina Ferreira clarified that the entry as a shareholder of a 2.5% stake in Media Capital cost her “a million and something” in euros and was obtained with the money from her “savings” accumulated over the years. Cristina Ferreira, who turned 43 on September 9, also assured that it is a “professional final project” and that it is made of stone and lime at TVI. “I’m not going anywhere else; this is where I’ll stay until the end of my days.”

Cristina Ferreira was the driving force for Mário Ferreira in attracting other investors in Media Capital’s shares. Among them in addition to Cristina Ferreira (shareholder through a company that she has with her father), are the singer Tony Carreira, TVI exclusive actor Lourenço Ortigão and the musician Pedro Abrunhosa. The new shareholders of Media Capital announced to the market, accumulate around 44% of the company’s capital.

It is recalled that Cristina Ferreira surprised everyone and everything when she left the SIC, where she was only a year and a half ago, to return to TVI. A transfer full of counterparties negotiated with Mário Ferreira, businessman who at that time owned 30.22% of Prisa, the company that owns TVI (today it already owns more, along with other investors, such as Pedro Abrunhosa, Tony Carreira or Lourenço Ortigão) .

In addition to the annual salary of more than 2 million euros, Cristina held the position of Director of Entertainment and Fiction, in addition to joining the shareholding structure of TVI – through the DoCasal Investimentos company, which he has with his father – after acquiring 2.5% of the company, in a business that according to ‘Expresso’ around 1.4 million euros.
