One million in commissions: Sporting reveals details of Acuña sale

Argentino was sold by Sporting to Sevilla.

Sporting sent a statement to CMVM detailing all the details of the sale of Marcos Acuña to Sevilla, confirmed this Monday by the two clubs.

The lions confirm the values ​​that THE GAME had advanced: 10.5 million fixed euros and 2 M € in variables related to the number of matches of the Argentine international for the Andalusians and the Sevillian campaign in the 2020/21 Champions League.

Sporting also reveals that, of the 10.5 million received, € 1.05 million correspond to charges for intermediation services. The solidarity mechanism, in turn, will have the support “in equal parts” from SAD Leonina and Sevilla.

Acuña, remember, left Alvalade after three seasons.

“SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL -FUTEBOL, SAD (hereinafter Sporting SAD or Sociedade) comes, under the terms and for the purpose of complying with the information obligation derived from the provisions of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities Code, inform to the market that has reached an agreement with Sevilla Futbol Club, SAD (hereinafter Sevilla) for the permanent transfer of the sports and economic rights of the player Marcos Acuña.

In exchange for the transfer, Sporting SAD will receive a fixed amount of € 10,500,000.00 (ten million and five hundred thousand euros), plus a conditional amount of up to € 2,000,000.00 (two million euros), to be paid based on to obtain objectives (i) related to the player’s participation in the matches and (ii) related to the participation of the Sevilla football team in the Champions League.

It is also reported that the charges for the intermediation services related to the aforementioned transfer amount to € 1,050,000.00 (one million and fifty thousand euros) and that the amount of the Solidarity Mechanism owed to third clubs will be borne by Sporting SAD and Sevilla, in equal parts “.
