After a young athlete contracted the new coronavirus yesterday, it was the turn of the Directorate of the Skating Academy of Braga to announce that a coach is also infected, it is unknown where he contracted the disease.
As reported by the MINHO, the Academy suspended, this Friday, the training of 100 young athletes, mostly girls, who attend it, after the appearance of a case of covid-19 in an athlete. The virus was contracted by the young woman of the family, since the father had been infected, days before.
Now, the Academy has informed the Public Health Team of the Braga Health Unit in the person of the Health Delegate, who will communicate with the parents of all athletes as soon as possible.

The suspension of the training was determined, jointly, by the direction of the Academy and by the Public Health Team of the Braga Health Unit, and includes the cleaning and hygiene of all the spaces, materials and equipment used during the practice of sport. The training took place at the Adaúfe sports center.
Two parents told O MINHO that President Teresa Cunha took action only two days after the athlete’s case became known and continued training despite this, and after a visit from the Local Health Authority, which she flatly denies .
“The day we learned the hypothesis that the athlete was infected, we immediately contacted Health Line 24 and followed their instructions. And we warn parents. When the infection was confirmed, the health delegation agreed with us to suspend training and disinfection, which we have already requested from municipal Civil Protection, “said the leader, lamenting that” there are those who try to spoil the volunteer work that is carried out daily by satisfaction and well-being of 100 young people ”.
According to the MINHO, some of the young athletes, especially those who were in contact with the colleague in question, picked up the cause, in quarantine.
