A violent accident injured six people in the early hours of Sunday afternoon in Vila Verde. Two of the victims were in serious condition.
As far as could be determined, a VW Passat got lost and entered the other lane, colliding head-on with a Mini that was heading towards Ponte de Lima – Prado, on the EN 201, in Marrancos.

Several firefighters from Vila Verde were deployed to the site, with a total of 19 operations and seven vehicles, supported by VMER.
Among the injured is a 13-year-old boy who was following the Mini. The rest are between 19 and 47 years old.
One of the 20-year-old adults, a passenger of the Passat, was declared seriously injured on the spot, while a 21-year-old woman, who was driving the same vehicle, ended up being considered a serious victim already in hospital, for having broken her pelvis .
The family that followed the Mini, a couple with two children, one of them a 13-year-old girl, was considered slightly injured.
The alert was given at 1:21 pm.
