More realistic images and colors that transform the worlds of the game.

Dolby has announced that it is ready to dramatically transform the image quality of its games on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, using Dolby Vision technology.

In recent years, we have seen how HDR technology is transforming video games and the next generation of Xbox consoles promises to take their potential to new heights. As Dolby has revealed on its official website, the Xbox Series consoles will be the first to receive Dolby Vision technology, whose first sample of its potential is sensational.

This Dolby Vision is described as a new step beyond traditional HDR, capable of reflections 40 times brighter and blacks 10 times deeper, with a color depth of 12 bits. Starting in 2021, Xbox series consoles will be compatible with this technology and compatible games will scan the user’s monitor to automatically adjust to the optimal settings.

This Dolby announcement builds on what has already been done for Dolby Atmos, technology that will be on Xbox Series consoles from launch and will transform the sound of your games for a greater three-dimensional effect on compatible equipment.

The Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles arrive in Portugal on November 10, for the price of 299 euros and 499 euros, respectively.
