Stores can only open after 10 am, limits on concentrations near schools and shopping centers: which changes as of Tuesday

As expected, many of the measures that were only applied in the metropolitan area of ​​Lisbon, to combat covid-19, extend to the entire country, due to the declaration of the state of contingency to the entire territory of continental Portugal . Prime Minister António Costa presented, at a press conference, the measures decided in the Council of Ministers this Thursday:

– Meetings are limited to 10 people (including catering);

– Commercial establishments cannot open before 10 a.m. M. (With exceptions);

– The closing hours of the establishments will be determined between 8pm and 11pm, by municipal decision;

– In the restaurant areas of shopping centers, there is a maximum limit of 4 people per group;

– The prohibition of the sale of alcoholic beverages in service stations and, after 8:00 p.m., in all establishments (except meals) is maintained;

– The prohibition of the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads is total;

– In restaurants, cafeterias and pastry shops 300 meters from schools, a maximum limit of 4 people per group is effective;

– Sports venues remain without public.

ONLY IN THE METROPOLITAN AREAS OF LISBON AND PORTO

– With regard to companies, teams must work in a mirror, with rotation schedules between teleworking and face-to-face work;

– There will be a mandatory period of time, with different arrival and departure times and different rest times
and meals.

The objective is to reduce pendulum movements. The prime minister did not detail if and how these measures apply to the entire labor market, but announced that the matter will be discussed with the social partners.
