The GNR yesterday identified three men, between 20 and 43 years old, for the crime of fraud in the town of Avelãs de Caminho, Anadia municipality.
“The suspects went to a bicycle supplies company, located in the Avelãs de Caminho Industrial Zone, where they approached the owner under the pretext of having tar remains, of a finished work, having proposed to tar the entrance for the payment of the job, which has been accepted, “says a statement.
According to GNR, the men came to the company with various industrial teams to start the work, “later demanding the payment of an amount of five thousand euros, an amount that would not have been agreed.”
“The businessman immediately alerted the Guard soldiers, who went to the scene, allowing the three suspects to be identified and seizing a vehicle, a cylinder, a lynx machine and a vibrating machine.”
The facts were referred to the Anadia Judicial Court.
As we learned, the suspects involved in this case are foreign nationals.
The ‘modus operandi’ is similar to other approaches of this type, known as “tar scam”, generally aimed at companies.
