The 23-year-old who fell, this Sunday morning, in the Castelo de Vila Viçosa ditch, was operated on in the basin of the Santa María Hospital, in Lisbon.

According to information to which the JN had access, when the GNR was called, there were about 20 young people who were drinking in the street, the well-known bottle.

After being stabilized by the Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance team in Estremoz, the young man was transported by helicopter from the INEM to the Santa María Hospital in Lisbon. He was operated on in the basin at 11 in the morning.

According to information from the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) in Évora, the alert occurred around 3 in the morning and the rescue team took the young man out of the pit.

In total, 19 operational personnel were at the site, supported by seven vehicles (including the helicopter) of the Vila Viçosa, GNR and INEM firefighters.
