This Sunday, the Region registers two more new cases of infection by covid-19, going to a cumulative total of 173 confirmed cases of covid-19, just informed IASaúde through the daily epidemiological bulletin. It is a case imported from the United Kingdom and a case of local transmission associated with a newly diagnosed positive case.

Today there is no new “cure” to report, with a total of 126 recovered cases of covid-19 remaining. There are now 47 active cases, of which 31 are imported cases identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira airport and 16 are cases of local transmission.

Until September 6, 1,633 notifications of suspected cases of covid-19 were counted in RAM, of which 1,460 were not confirmed.

Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 22 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit and 25 in their own accommodation.

IASaúde also reports on five new situations that are being studied by health authorities. Laboratory analysis and epidemiological investigations are underway.

To date, 18,121 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the different municipalities of the Region, using the ‘MadeiraSafe’ application, of these 8,642 people are under active surveillance.

The contacts of the SRS24 Line (800 24 24 20) total 12,018, plus 32 calls in the last 24 hours.

The total number of visits to the IASaúde psychological monitoring line, IP-RAM (291 212 399) amounts to 2,081, with 177 people accompanied by professionals from this institute.

Screening tests

• Until the end of September 5, in the SESARAM Clinical Pathology laboratory, 82,613 samples were processed for PCR tests.

• In the context of the passenger control operation in the ports and airports of Madeira and Porto Santo, a cumulative total of 48,398 harvests is reported for the covid-19 tests carried out (until 7:00 p.m. this Sunday).

DIARIO has already questioned the Regional Secretary of Health about possible risks. The guardianship is analyzing the situation and the procedures to follow at this time.
