The humorist Ricardo Araújo Pereira provoked this Saturday the first mass meeting of the 44th edition of the “Avante!” Party, in the Festa do Livro space, with many dozens of people disrespecting the preventive distance of the covid-19.
On chairs, sitting on the grass or on the asphalt, either outside the venue, or standing up, many militants and visitors to the annual communist political-cultural event participated in the debate of one of the founders of the Gato Fedorento group, mediated by the journalist Pedro. Tadeu and with the participation of the PCP leader, Margarida Botelho.
The crowd that gathered even forced the intervention of the party leaders to make the seats available better and a warning was given by means of a sound installation to keep their distances and use protective masks.
The speakers, with a technical problem, failed and there was a wait of about 10 minutes until the start of the discussion.
This 44th edition of the PCP event, which takes place in Seixal, Setúbal district, is limited to the presence of a maximum of 16,563 people and many health measures, being very little crowded compared to previous years.
