Braga reacts in the second half and draws with Valladolid

In the sixth game of the preseason, the Bracarenses added the second draw (three victories and one defeat).

Braga and Valladolid drew 2-2, in a private match in which Minho was 2-0 down, but recovered with goals from Paulinho and Esgaio.

An own goal by Bruno Viana, in minute 34, and a goal by Joaquín, in minute 48, put the Spaniards to win by two balls, but Paulinho reduced it, to 57, from a penalty, and Esgaio sentenced the result, in 81, materializing a good reaction of the local team to the disadvantage.

In the sixth preseason game, the Bracarenses added the second draw (three wins and one loss) against the 13th place in the Spanish League last season.

Carlos Carvalhal presented the same ‘eleven’ that faced Benfica on Wednesday (defeat 2-1), in a 4x4x2 to defend and 3x4x3 to attack – projecting Esgaio from the right and André Horta (Fransérgio in the second half in this role) joining brother Ricardo and Paulinho.

Valladolid changed the entire team that started the game with Sporting on Friday (2-1 loss), and they were better in the first half, having more chances to score against a team from Braga that has run out of ideas.

Sergi Guardiola, at 07 and 09, was close to scoring, first with his head to the side and then thanking Matheus for a good intervention.

El Minho, who was not very aggressive, had a difficult time dealing with the Spanish pressure and only after 20 minutes, in a foray by Raúl Silva for the attack, he created danger through a goal shot from Ricardo Horta.

But it would be Matheus who would reappear when he stopped a shot from Waldo (22) and, at 34 minutes, Bruno Viana’s own goal appeared after Waldo’s shot.

Opening the second half, Waldo created a danger that Matheus solved with a quick goal kick, but a minute later he could do nothing against an isolated Joaquín who headed very calm, placed, after a good cross from Nacho (48 minutes).

In the second half, André Horta fell to the field in exchange for Fransérgio and the team benefited from that. Ricardo Horta committed a foul in the area and Paulinho converted the penalty (57 minutes) and then almost only yielded to Braga.

Ricardo Horta was close to the goal on two occasions (63 and 77 minutes), but it would be Esgaio who would score, after a beautiful team move that went through the final assistance of André Horta, Fransérgio and Paulinho.

Already in the discount period, at 90 + 3 minutes, Fransérgio headed the post and, on the rebound, Ricardo Horta allowed Masip to defend.
