This Saturday, FC Porto informed CMVM of the sale of Fábio Silva to Wolverhampton for 40 million euros, according to Maisfutebol at the time.

The Dragons report that the 18-year-old footballer is transferred for 40 million euros. In turn, Wolves clarified that the U19 international signed for five years, but our newspaper knows that the contract provides for another year of option.

Fábio Silva becomes the most expensive signing in the history of the wolves after a season at FC Porto in which he played 23 games (three goals) and won the calluses. The forward will wear jersey 17 and join the Portuguese army in Wolverhampton.

Remember that Fábio Silva started playing at União Nogueirense and went to Gondomar before arriving at FC Porto (remember his route here). After four years at Olival, the footballer went to Benfica for two years after returning to Dragão.

FC Porto statement to CMVM:

Futebol Clube do Porto – Futebol, SAD, in the terms of article 248º nº 1 of the Portuguese Securities Code, comes to inform the market that it has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton for the definitive transfer of the athlete’s registration rights. Fábio Silva for € 40,000,000 (forty million euros).
